Toes
Non-Scale Victory (NSV)…I painted my toes the other day. I live in Florida, and I have been wearing closed toe shoes all winter (here it is October-ish through February). I wanted to wear my flip flops but my toes were in serious need of pampering. Our budget is dictating for me not to have a pedicure at this time, so I thought I could do them myself.
Please understand I have not painted my own toes since I was in my twenties! I haven’t been able to reach my toes comfortably for a long while, and didn’t think I could be able to do it well.
It isn’t done to my nail tech’s caliber, but I would say not bad.
I ended up buying more polish at Target (for a total of $6) for future polish days. Happy toes! And, yes, that is a summer schedule of math classes that I am considering for the summer—but not sure yet!

Lamb Chops
Every Spring I crave lamb. Part of my up bringing I suppose. I love it. David is not a fan, and so I cooked these chops just for me. He still had leftover pull pork to eat on, so don’t feel to bad for him.
I marinated the chops in some olive oil, minced garlic, and dried rosemary. (One of these days I might be able to have and maintain a herb garden.) 
I grilled them on our Cuisinart Grill Panni Press. I need to use it more often as it cooks evenly, and I love the clean up. The grill pans just pop off, and I can put them in the dishwasher or hand wash them. 
I loved these chops. I had them with some of asparagus. My plate:

Prosciutto Asparagus
I love asparagus. I love it steamed, roasted, in a salad or as a side. I have seen it in restaurants with it wrapped with prosciutto, and decided to give it a try in my new toaster oven (with the convection setting).
I cleaned the asparagus, and took half of a slice of the prosciutto and wrapped the bottom half of the spear. Placed it in a oven safe dish (my small baker for the toaster oven).
I baked them for about 20 minutes on 350 degrees. I loved how even they cooked. They turned out perfect. Crispy, nutty, and not overcooked. I will be making them again!!

Sunday Thought
What would you do? Remember that years ago…What Would Jesus Do? What would He do about gun control? Immigration? The Wall? Homeless? Healthcare? I have not been political on this blog…but…I can tell you that Jesus would be that socialist. He would take from the rich and give to the poor. Guns…I don’t know.
Voices are being heard this past week from those who are very young. I wasn’t that vocal when I was young. I am more vocal now, but I feel that I could do more, much more. I love that there are voices being heard. Not sure how I feel about what they are saying, but they should have a voice and we should be listening.
What I do know for certain is that God loves you. God cares for you. God will not forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). But people will fail you everyday. I fail everyday. Thinking of tomorrow and what my voice might say. How can I make a difference? Who counts on me? Do I show God’s love and care? Do you?

Broccoli
These were being offered as samples yesterday when I went to Sam’s Club. I liked them. Crispy broccoli is the bomb!! Nutty, crunchy, tastes like roasted broccoli.
David isn’t a fan, but I love them. And, they have 6 grams of protein! Hello!! (my opinion only, not a paid endorsement!!)
