I have to remind myself that I don’t have to be perfect at everything.
I don’t know about you, but I am a perfectionist at heart. So this is hard for me, but I have to let go of some things.

I live in the Panhandle of Florida, approximately 75 miles from where Hurricane Michael devastated Mexico Beach, and Panama City. Other much smaller communities were destroyed as well but aren’t talked about right now.
I have posted pictures of my family and I having fun, with no damage. It so could have been us if the storm hadn’t turn. We were blessed by a cold front coming from the North, that’s it. We are helping by donating items that we purchased for the storm and didn’t use. If you feel the need to help but don’t know where to start please see below. If nothing else, please pray for those affected and those helping.

Y’all. My girlfriend Julie had me taste this, and at first, it was eh. But then after a couple of weeks, I had to get some. Now I have a small jar, and I am obsessed.
It doesn’t have the protein that I should have (only one gram per two tablespoons), but as a treat this is wonderful. So reminds me of childhood, and of the cookies.

We are fine. The eye went to Mexico Beach, and I am grateful and sad.
Our family and friends in general are fine.
We ended up playing cards and having hotdogs. Super fun, and so grateful it was just a little rain and wind.
Devastation for so many in Panama City and in the path of this storm. Prayers for those not so far away from us.

As we wait on Hurricane Michael…
We are staying. We are not in a water or in a flood zone, although if you remember from Hurricane Nate in 2017, we lost a tree just from the rain.
As we get up this morning, Michael is a category 2, but moving farther East. Still staying here.
