Princess

It was such an honor to be a part of this event on Friday evening.  David was the announcer for the strong, amazing princesses (and Queen). I love these women.

These were his introductions:

Good evening! To Your Most Royal Highnesses, and your steadfast and devoted Escorts, I offer a warm and heartfelt welcome! It is my great privilege this evening to introduce your honored visitors. A gathering of Princesses from across the worlds of magic and imagination.

Kind, elegant, shy and sophisticated, as well as a hopeless romantic, this princess was named by her parents after the goddess of the dawn, because she filled their life with sunshine. Put into a cursed sleep by the evil Maleficient, she was awakened by “true love’s kiss”. I am delighted to introduce the Sleeping Beauty herself, Princess Aurora.

Recently freed from the tower of evil Mother Gothel, this Princess is spirited, clever, kind, and very adventurous, with an amazing hairdo and a mean iron skillet. The true princess of the Kingdom of Corona, I am honored to present Princess Rapunzel.

Our next princess hails from the far kingdom of Agrabah. This daughter of a sultan is caring, strong, independent, and unafraid to speak her mind no matter what. Your Highnesses, I speak, of course, of Princess Jasmine.

img_2017Afraid that her power to create ice and snow could hurt the people she loved, she hid herself away, until she was rescued by her loving sister. Born a princess, but now the true Queen of Arendelle, please join me in welcoming Queen Elsa.

Born on the island village of Motunui, this daughter of Chief Tui inherited a love for the seas and voyaging. Loyal, strong-willed, and practically fearless, she is a true friend to her allies and the ocean. It is my privilege to present Princess Moana.

Raised as a scullery maid in service to her evil step-mother and step-sisters, our next Princess found her true love with the help of her Fairy Godmother… and an abandoned glass slipper. Your Highnesses, please join me in welcoming Princess Cinderella.

This next princess is near and dear to me. The loving, if headstrong and mischievous, daughter of mighty King Triton, she left her underwater kingdom to explore her love of humankind. Brave, curious, and blessed with a beautiful voice, I am particularly proud to present to you Princess Ariel.

I love this man.

I love where I work and what I am able to participate in.

The people that work this hard for so many–who make it seem effortless. I am truly in awe of their spirit.

Blessings.

Tiara -keep calm

Tonight I am attending a Princess Ball.  It is mainly for Dad’s and daughter’s however the emphasis is on Military Dad’s and their daughter’s.

There will be lots of pink, glitter and tiara’s so I thought this saying was appropriate.

Blessings.

Disney Princess 5k

Well, the worst part was getting up at 3 am! Yes, 3:00 am!!  We had to be in our sections by 5:00 a.m.  So bus transports to the EPCOT staging area, walked around a bit, chatted with others, and got nervous.2019-Princess-5K-Course-Map-1Y’all!  I did this…well, Carmen and I did this!  And survived…eh, sort of! It was 74 degrees and about 80 percent humidity.  Ugh…not the best for this type of race…but again we survived.  Disney knows how to put on an event.  Bucket list. So I have on my bucket list as a Disney 1/2 Marathon (walking), but participating in a Disney Run is satisfying!!

374313063Not the most flattering picture…but I will take it!  I cried when I crossed the finish line…Y’all – four years ago I had to have a scooter to be able to survive our family trip to Disney.  I could never had walk over 20,000 steps.  So very grateful for my gastric sleeve, even with my 30 pound regain, for the opportunities to enjoy my life again.  To be able to experience these types of events with my friends and family is truly the BEST thing…truly grateful.

Love and blessings.
