I have always been a believer in karma, or what goes around comes around mentality. You reap what you sow. Be kind, show love. It’s pretty easy when you think about it.

Spending the weekend with baby girl in Baton Rouge, taking pictures for her college graduation.
This a one of the shots outside of her sorority house. She has made some incredible friendships here, and I am truly grateful God took her here. She found a purpose, plan and is focused on the future. Looking forward to see what the future has in store.
No matter what we may plan though, Gods plan is the best plan. I have been blessed with this amazing young lady.

Help–Hurricane Michael
I live in the Panhandle of Florida, approximately 75 miles from where Hurricane Michael devastated Mexico Beach, and Panama City. Other much smaller communities were destroyed as well but aren’t talked about right now.
I have posted pictures of my family and I having fun, with no damage. It so could have been us if the storm hadn’t turn. We were blessed by a cold front coming from the North, that’s it. We are helping by donating items that we purchased for the storm and didn’t use. If you feel the need to help but don’t know where to start please see below. If nothing else, please pray for those affected and those helping.
Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office
Many of us are being contacted by family, friends, church groups and community members wanting to do something to help in regard to Hurricane Michael.
On a consolidated effort we are recommending Volunteer Florida. They are located in Tallahassee and are the lead agency for volunteerism in Florida. Their board of commissioners are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Florida Senate.

If you go to their website, you initially have 2 options, “donate” money or “volunteer” to choose from. Those links will take you to other pages to fill in information.
There are a lot of people that want to deliver supplies. For law enforcement, public safety, emergency workers, residents, animals, etc. We are trying to determine needs, the receiving point and coordinator for those efforts. It’s a huge effort and could sometimes cause significant logistical complications on site, and please don’t recommend anyone just head that way without coordination. They may arrive and not be allowed to enter the area, nowhere to deliver and the community doesn’t know it’s there to collect.

Hurricane Michael Part 3
We are fine. The eye went to Mexico Beach, and I am grateful and sad.
Our family and friends in general are fine.
We ended up playing cards and having hotdogs. Super fun, and so grateful it was just a little rain and wind.
Devastation for so many in Panama City and in the path of this storm. Prayers for those not so far away from us.

Love where I live…
It’s been an exciting week for me, with lots of changes I will talking about next week. Overall good things that have come from hard work and excellent leadership examples.
Today I needed to rest, and take this in. Tomorrow will be busy, but ready for the opportunity that it brings.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day Weekend!
Hello Fresh Meals
We were given a week of meals from a friend from Hello Fresh. We chose the two person meal plan with three meals for the week.
I loved that the box was prepackaged per meal. I didn’t have to sort or figure out what ingredient went with what protein. It was also packaged with recycled foam instead of Styrofoam which made my heart happy. Overall, I was extremely please with the packaging of the fresh ingredients.
The sizing of the portions were perfect for David and I. He eats more than a normal serving, and I can’t eat a whole serving. Perfect.
