Social Media

Last night I shared this picture:

Everyone posted asking if I was okay. The tag line was tired. Just tired. I was ready for bed, and you can see it.

Went to sleep…and got up…not tired. Still have decorations to finish for Christmas, and boxes are everywhere but:

Volunteered this morning in the Raiders concession stand. It was fun. David and Carmen came along to help as well. Our friend Ryen came as well. So nice to spend time with her and to make new friends.

Had to wear a hat…now I have hat hair but a really good day. Still tired but a nap might be in my future.

I didn’t realize I needed to be so aware of my pictures on social media. Everyone genuinely cared that posted their concern with the first picture. I think we need more of those kind of pictures, and the ones with a bit of chaos around us. It is reality. I think I need to see more of them. At least I don’t feel like I am failing at life with everyone doing all of these great things, continuous smiles and happy families. Life happens, and we all go through days of being tired.

So…happy Saturday.

Blessings.

Head Shots

This one was taken October 2016.

October 16 Head Shot

This one September 2017.

Most days I don’t see the difference in my weight loss especially when I know I have gained weight this past month.  These pictures help.  I know that I have lost a substantial amount of weight.  I know that it wasn’t easy, and I still have a ways to go.

These pictures help me see some accomplishment, and I really did need to see them this week.

Blessings.

Pictures and WLS

A year ago with family at Easter.

And this year, just Carmen and I.

Pictures are a wonderful thing for anyone going through weight loss, or any change for that matter.  I still don’t see a lot of my weight loss when I look in the mirror.  I see it more in the things I am able to do.

Like today’s Mud Bug 5k.  I will update you later this week on how that goes.

Blessings!

Ugh – Frustrated

NaBloPoMo 2012 – Day 26

I have been trying most of today to upload and post pictures. I choose my files and they look great. I upload them, and Blogger turns them. So when I try to post them they are turned sideways.  FRUSTRATED!

Carmen’s expression is how I feel right now.
So..

So tomorrow is another day.
So sorry.
Blessings,
Jerry Ann

Foodie Photos

My last post – Baked Ziti – I posted a picture of the food on a plate. I normally take about 10 different photos of food (on the plate, on the counter, in the pot), but they have never turned out like this one.

As I have mentioned before, I love reading Ree Drummond’s “The Pioneer Woman” blog. She has an awesome Nikon, and takes some of the best shots. I don’t. But, she also gives some basic blogging advice on pictures. Use natural light (I did – kitchen window), get close the food, use a tripod or elbows to stabilize the camera.

This is one that I tried…

As you can see, the angle is wrong, light is darker, and it just doesn’t look as good. I actually think I moved.

But this one…

…it just worked, and I had to brag about it. Now if I can only do that again! ha.

Happy cooking.
