Thankful for my Father’s service and sacrifice (killed in 1966 before I was born) even though I never knew him. Thankful for my path because of him.
Thankful for my Step-Father stepping in when I was three, and his 26 years of service (two tours in both the Korean War and the Vietnam War).

There are so many things I am thankful for this year. We are healthy, have a home, have food to eat (more than enough). We have family here at the moment. We have friends that we enjoy and care about like family. We have jobs. Really no complaints. I miss my Mom, but I always do at this time of year especially.

In honor of National Bundt Day…a re-post of my Nutella Marbled Bundt Cake from September, 2010.
I had this yellow cake mix, and wanted to make some sort of marbled cake with it. I love my Mom’s bundt pan. So…
I used about 1 cup of Nutella, mixed together with an egg.  
Used 3 eggs, 1 stick butter, and 1/3 cup water per the cake mix instructions.
