2013 – Memory Verse Time

Well, here we are in 2013…and it is January 1st. Two years ago I tried to keep up with Beth Moore’s Memory Verse.  I did better than I thought, but not near my goal.  So I am trying it again.

Beth Moore Living Proof Blog – if you want to read why/how, please click here.

So, I have chosen a verse that I need to start out this year:

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Philippians 4:13 NKJV

It is a favorite, but one that needs to remind of starting things in the new year. I should start everyday with this verse, and sometimes do. But today especially.

Praying you have a very blessed New Year!
Blessings – always,
Jerry Ann

Memory Verse #9

Yes, I missed #8, and to be honest, I won’t go back to it.

I am using Beth’s this time.  It spoke volumes to me this week.

So…Memory Verse #9:

“Rely on the Lord!  Be strong and confident! Rely on the Lord!” Psalm 27:14
The Net Version

I must say, that this version was the only one that used the wording “rely.”  Most of the others used wait, and that is fine, but more fitting for me this week is rely.  To rely:  1. to be dependent (on) 2. to have trust or confidence (in).

I can rely on Him today, and tomorrow, for many things, for ALL things.  To be dependent upon Christ is easy, to have trust or confidence is easy as well.  Not in our brothers and sisters, they can help, but to rely on Christ, His strength, awesome.

Have a blessed week my loves.

Blessings,
Jerry Ann

Memory Verse #7

“Your heart’s been in the right place all along…You’ve got what it takes to finish it up, so go to it. 2 Corinthians 8:10-11 The Message

Too tired today to post more…attending the Priscilla Shirer Going Beyond Simulcast…and it has been a long day, but a fruitful one….and more tomorrow.

Happy April….
Love,
Jerry Ann

Memory Verse #5

Hurdles are difficult, especially in ministry.  We all have them, hurdles, I mean.  I feel led one way, you feel led another.  Why can’t they be the same thing?  Are they the same thing?  If we are praying for guidance and discernment, and they are, why is the path different?  Because I want to approach it from left field, but it has been done this way for years, why is left field wrong? Is the way that has been done wrong? No.  Just different.  Different gifts, different approaches. Hurdles.

I believe that God leads those that are willing to listen.  A vision, path, road is given, and I have been given one. I can see it.  Along the road there are hurdles.  They are in the distance, and small in height.  The closer I get to the hurdles the higher each one becomes.  I have short, stubby legs.  They are difficult to climb over large hurdles.  God places the hurdles at heights reachable for me, if I continue to rely on Him.  The race/path/road is long.  I am approaching a storm, and lots of hurdles.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good.  His love endures forever.” Psalm136:1 NIV

For those that pray, please pray for guidance in my words and actions.  Thank you.

Blessings,
Jerry Ann

Memory Verse #4

Oh, I know I am so behind.  It has been a difficult couple of weeks.  I have a ton of pictures to post, and just haven’t had the “get up and do it” energy that I so need.  Too many things to do, and not near enough time to do them in.

And, so this verse sings to me this week.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”  Matthew 11:28, NIV

The comfort I receive with this verse is just amazing.

Blessings,
Jerry Ann

Memory Verse #3

Memory Verse #3

I have tried to memorize this one before, and it is one of my favorite verses.  It is important now, as ever, so here goes:

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
Galatians 6:9 NKJV

Whatever you do, do it joyfully…smile…even when you don’t feel like it…it makes everything better.

Have a good week.
Blessings,
Jerry Ann

Memory Verse #2

WOW, I am so sorry I am so behind.  Lots going on in our family right now, and I will be able to explain more later.  But for now, memory verse #2:

Revelation 17:14
They will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is the Lord of lords, and King of kings, and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.

NKJV

I am in a Bible study on Wednesday nights, and I chose the verse that we are to memorize in that study as well.  Beth Moore’s “Here and Now…There and Then” a lecture series on Revelation.

I crave being with my group of friends, being in fellowship and study of Christ.  Talking and engaging about a verse, or a chapter, or the story that Beth talks about…wonderful.  Bringing it into our lives, and how we deal with things, families and encourage each other is amazing.  I am in awe of what God shows what He can do with all of us, in each of our seasons.

Have a good two weeks.  I am in the process of getting organized in my craft area…so I will post pictures of that once it completed.

Thanks all.
Blessings,
Jerry Ann

Memory Verse #1

Okay- I am a day late in posting this…but I did post yesterday on Beth Moore’s Blog.

My verse for the first fourteen days of the new year is:

“You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance.” Psalm 65:11

Beth mentions this one under a different translation.  This is the New King James Version. I love how this one uses “drip with abundance.” This is an easy one to commit to memory.

Have a blessed week!

Love,
Jerry Ann
