This morning I woke to a cool temperature of 60 degrees. It felt invigorating.
So I promptly went to work on the laundry, cooking and prepping for the weeks meals, working on bills, and repotting a couple of plants.
I love this weather. I love Fall. Having the windows and doors open, things roasting and baking is dream like for me.
Today has been a true gift, and I am thankful.
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” Colossians 4:2
What are you thankful for today?
I know that all of us (the United States – it seems) are ready for spring.
I have had signs of it show in my front yard recently.
Daffodil’s are wonderful. Notice the dead grass…yep. I live in the panhandle of Florida, and normally our winters are very, very mild. January, and February have been cold here…and lows are still in the 40’s at night.
These have survived.
Yes, it is November, and NOW I have tomato blossoms.
And, some of these.
I will keep you posted.
Tomatoes. I grew up with 3 or 4 rows of tomatoes (my parents garden). I hated picking them, helping to process them for canning…anything to do with them.
So, after 20 years of buying canned tomatoes, and after hearing from friends the benefits of growing them in pots….have decided to grow two of my own.
Hopefully, with the right tending…I will have plenty of tomatoes for a salad or two…and maybe enough to can several batches.
Now, to find a blog or two about canning!
